Brother Goldstein writes, "'A Freemason's Prayer' is one of the few serious poems which I have written, And now, here is 'A Freemason's Prayer'."

A Freemason's Prayer

Thou most Glorious and Holy Lord,
God of the Universe,
We are humbly here assembled
to extol your grace with verse.
Oh, Great Architect, Creator
of this Earth with all its good,
It is in Thy Name, we pledge our lives
to Peace and Brotherhood.

By upholding all the principles
Freemasonry describes,
We Freemasons try to live the way
our Ancient Craft prescribes.
For the virtues we aspire to
are good, benign and just,
Such as Truth and Love and Justice,
with Morality and Trust

Supreme Lord of all the Universe,
hear our impassioned plea,
May we all live by the tenets
which thou gave Freemasonry.
And may all of Man's endeavors
with his fellow man compare
With the noble and sublime ways
of the Compass and the Square.

Dan Goldstein (1910- )

Brother Goldstein writes, "My specialty actually is writing amusing poetry, which has gotten me eighty [100+ by 2001] awards from poetry contests in the United States, from Coast to Coast. "A Freemason's Prayer" is one of the few serious poems which I have written, The others are among the prize winners."

Dan has a book of published humorous poems out, with the following blurb: Could Be Verse: Award Winning Poetry, Life Brightening Humor (2001). "Dan Goldstein was born before Arizona was a state. Little did they know that 1910 would mark the birth of the "Ol Bard." Today, the ex-advertising man bursts into the new century with this enticing and rib-tickling collection of his award-winning works. After coyly aiming to win 100 writing awards by the time he turned 100, he passed the goal 10 years early."
